Position Summary:

The Marketing Strategy Manager develops and drives execution of marketing and communications plans for a selection of markets within the Hospitality Customer Solutions Unit (CSU) which include Restaurant / Retail, House of Worship, Nightlife, Hotels / Casinos, Cruise Lines, Broadcast and Cinema.  This entails proactive coordination with Marketing Solutions Managers within the Hospitality Marketing and Solutions team, developing an annual marketing and communications plan, establishing detailed marketing project requirements, creating and executing New Product Introduction Global launch plans, supporting Regional and Country Sales Offices, and driving execution through the MarComm Business Unit.   In addition, this includes all communication and coordination required between Marketing Strategy Managers across other appropriate CSUs, reporting directly to the Director, Marketing & Solutions.  This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual with the ability to maintain several very detailed yet fluid projects simultaneously.


Job Responsibilities:

·         Coordinate with Hospitality Solutions Managers and Business Development Managers to determine short-term and long-term marketing and communications global requirements.

·         Coordinate with sales and business development teams to better understand end customer and channel needs (e.g., what influences a purchasing decision) within each customer segment.

·         Represent Hospitality to the Marcomm team / Program Manager to ensure deliverable requests are understood and executed on time and accurately.

·         Coordinate with Marcomm in developing and driving marketing programs that result in measureable impact on leads, revenue and market share gains.

·         Articulate value proposition, product offering, market segmentation and positioning strategy of Hospitality products.

·         Serve as the key interface to represent Local Sales Office marketing needs with Hospitality.

·         Conduct competitive research and market analysis to better position products and brands.

·         Assess performance within each segment and provide regional marketing perspective on market dynamics, competitive opportunities, customer requirements and sales force pipeline needs.

·         Confident to communicate with teams around the world, and across multiple time zones, whether in the US, EMEA, LATAM, Asia or the BRIC country offices.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in marketing, business or related industry field.

Position Summary:

The Global Business Development Manager for Restaurant & Retail will be responsible for developing a Global Strategy for Restaurant & Retail and working closely with end users, DJ’s and designers to ensure Harman solutions and products are specified and sold into the top Restaurant & Retail venues around the world.   The Restaurant & Retail market include Nightclubs, Bars, Karaoke Lounges and Live Music venues, and includes all Harman solutions that can fit into these markets.

The role will require to work with all four Regional Sales Offices and the four BRIC countries to support them in their local efforts, both from Regional accounts and Global accounts.  Where there is crossover into other CSU’s like Touring, then the Global Bus Dev Manager will adopt a positive one team and one Harman approach.

Working closely with the Marketing Solutions team to ensure Harman has the solutions required to be number one in this market across all categories.

Building a pipeline of projects in globally in CRM that will drive future revenue and sales in the Restaurant & Retail space, and managing key Senior level end user accounts personally.


Job Responsibilities:

·         Work with four regional offices and four BRIC country offices to define and implement Business Development strategies to most effectively create demand for HARMAN Solutions specific to the needs of the regional market.  Where there is no dedicated resource for Restaurant & Retail then the Global Business Development Manager is responsible for working with the local Hospitality or Solutions SBU teams to create this.  Identify significant revenue opportunities, effectively communicate product solutions, and aggressively work the opportunity.

·         Responsible for building relationships with new & existing customers targeted at the Restaurant & Retail end user accounts.

·         Manage existing key global end user relationships and continually bring onboard new global customer accounts.

·         Visit potential customers, make presentations, identify key decisions makers.  Effectively promote HARMAN Solutions with all levels of management in these accounts.

·         Always have the client’s best interests in mind and bring a commitment to understanding and driving the success of end-user key initiatives and organization.

·         Build a pipeline of future projects using CRM and work with channel and consultant teams to ensure this can be executed well.

·         Use CRM to manage business, including pipeline growth, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, recording customer information, sales activities, etc.

·         Attend and participate in end user industry forums, conferences and events around the world and represent Harman’s leading interest in the Restaurant & Retail market.
